Advertising Guidelines
Christian Yoga Magazine Advertising Policy
Christian Yoga Magazine (CYM) is committed to providing a Christ-centered publication that encourages spiritual growth, physical wellness, and whole-person health. Because advertising appears alongside our editorial content and is associated with the Christian Yoga Magazine brand, we carefully consider whether advertisements are appropriate for our audience and consistent with our mission and values.
Advertising Acceptance
Christian Yoga Magazine reserves the sole and absolute discretion to accept, reject, refuse, cancel, modify, or discontinue any advertisement at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to concerns regarding the advertisement's content, language, imagery, audience, presentation, products or services, or its alignment with the mission, values, standards, or brand of Christian Yoga Magazine.
Submission of an advertisement, payment of advertising fees, prior acceptance of an advertisement, or previous advertising with CYM does not guarantee acceptance, placement, continued publication, or future advertising approval.
CYM is not required to provide an explanation for an advertising decision, although we may do so at our discretion.
Christian and Ministry Standards
All advertisements must be consistent with the Christ-centered mission and Christian values of Christian Yoga Magazine.
CYM may decline advertisements that, in its judgment, conflict with or undermine the publication's Christian identity, mission, values, or the standards we seek to maintain for our readers and ministry partners.
Advertisements should communicate in a manner that is respectful, appropriate, and consistent with a Christian ministry environment.
Audience and Messaging
Christian Yoga Magazine serves a broad Christian audience with diverse backgrounds, denominations, cultures, ages, and life experiences.
Advertisers may identify and speak to a particular audience or community; however, CYM reserves the right to decline advertisements whose wording, imagery, positioning, or overall presentation it determines is inconsistent with the welcoming, Christ-centered environment of the publication.
Targeted advertising does not constitute endorsement by CYM of any particular demographic, organization, movement, ideology, or viewpoint beyond the specific product, service, or event being advertised.
CYM may request revisions when an advertisement's language or presentation could reasonably be understood as exclusionary, divisive, disparaging, or inconsistent with the publication's ministry environment.
Content Standards
CYM reserves the right to reject advertisements containing or promoting, in its judgment:
- Content inconsistent with Christian values or CYM's mission
- Profanity, vulgarity, sexually explicit material, or inappropriate imagery
- Discriminatory, demeaning, hateful, or disparaging language
- Content that promotes hostility toward an individual or group
- Misleading, deceptive, or unsubstantiated claims
- Content that could reasonably be interpreted as fraudulent or unethical
- Highly controversial or divisive social, political, or ideological messaging
- Products, services, practices, or teachings that conflict with CYM's stated mission or editorial standards
- Imagery or messaging that is inconsistent with a Christian ministry environment
- Claims regarding health, wellness, healing, or spiritual benefits that CYM determines are inappropriate or insufficiently supported
- Content that could reasonably damage the reputation or integrity of Christian Yoga Magazine
This list is illustrative and is not intended to be exhaustive.
Products, Services, and Organizations
Acceptance of an advertisement does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or guarantee by Christian Yoga Magazine of the advertiser, its organization, its products, services, teachings, claims, or practices.
CYM reserves the right to decline advertising from any organization, business, ministry, individual, product, or service that it determines is not an appropriate fit for its readership or brand.
Advertisement Revisions
CYM may request that an advertiser modify wording, imagery, colors, claims, design, or other elements of an advertisement before publication.
An advertiser's refusal or inability to make requested revisions may result in the advertisement being declined or removed from consideration.
CYM may also make reasonable editorial or technical modifications necessary for formatting, readability, accuracy, legal compliance, or consistency with publication standards, with notice to the advertiser when reasonably practicable.
Editorial Independence
Advertising does not influence or guarantee editorial coverage.
Payment for advertising does not guarantee:
- Editorial consideration
- A favorable review
- An article, interview, feature, or social media post
- Placement in a particular editorial section
- Endorsement by CYM
- Any particular position or prominence within the publication
Editorial decisions remain separate from advertising decisions.
Right to Refuse or Discontinue Advertising
Christian Yoga Magazine reserves the right to refuse, reject, cancel, remove, or discontinue any advertisement that, in CYM's judgment, is inconsistent with its mission, values, audience, standards, brand identity, or ministry environment.
CYM may exercise this discretion before publication or after an advertisement has been accepted or published if circumstances change, new information becomes available, or the advertisement is subsequently determined to be inconsistent with CYM's standards.
No Guarantee of Placement
Advertisement placement is subject to availability and publication requirements. CYM reserves the right to determine the final placement, size, formatting, and presentation of advertisements unless a specific placement has been expressly agreed upon in writing.
Advertiser Responsibility
Advertisers are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, originality, and appropriateness of their advertisements and for ensuring that they have all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and releases for submitted content.
Advertisers agree not to submit material that infringes upon the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of another person or organization.
Payment and Cancellation
Advertising fees are due according to the terms established by Christian Yoga Magazine. Payment does not guarantee publication or acceptance of an advertisement.
If CYM rejects an advertisement before publication, any refund or credit will be handled according to the applicable advertising agreement or rate sheet.
Final Authority
Christian Yoga Magazine retains final authority regarding the acceptance, rejection, modification, placement, and continued publication of advertisements.
By submitting an advertisement or purchasing advertising space, the advertiser acknowledges and agrees to this Advertising Policy and recognizes that CYM's advertising decisions are made at the sole discretion of Christian Yoga Magazine.
Christian Yoga Magazine reserves the right to update this policy as its mission, audience, brand standards, and advertising practices evolve.
